Rise And Shine To Toronto’s Best Brunch Spots

Where will you find most Torontonians on a late Sunday morning? If you guessed at brunch, you are right. Toronto is a city that takes this meal very seriously.  From avocado toast to eggs benny, the choices are endless. These restaurants have made it on the list for some of the best brunch spots in Toronto.

Cafe Neon

1024 Queen St W., 241 Wallace Ave., cafeneon.ca

One of the best recent additions to the West Queen West neighbourhood has been Cafe Neon. Serving coffee from Sam James, baked goods made in house, and a menu that offers up all the classics you crave.

We recommend their Granola and Greek Yoghurt served with fresh berries for a light start to the day.  If you’re looking for something with a little more sustenance, try the Poached Eggs and Fish Cakes made with Ontario trout. This breakfast is like heaven on a plate.

Rose and Sons

176 Dupont St., 892 Queen St. W., roseandsons.ca

Anthony Rose is one of Toronto’s most successful restaurateurs. Rose and Sons, one of his earliest restaurants, brings us classic comfort dishes and new favourites in a diner-like setting. We recommend trying the Avocado Toast topped with scrambled eggs and peppers. The avocado is mashed and seasoned to perfection, while the soft scrambled eggs and peppers make this dish pure perfection.

Baddies

679 Lansdowne Ave., baddiestoronto.com

There’s something to be said about the way Australians bring food to the table. Baddies has barely been open for a year and it’s one of Toronto’s most popular spots for a reason. Their menu has an option for everyone, from Chia Pudding to Vegan Smashed Avocado Toast. Baddies also offers fresh-from-the-oven baked goods and the best granola and yoghurt bowl in the city, topped with poached fruit and vanilla bean agave. Have it with a flat white and your weekend will start the right way.

The Lockhart

1479 Dundas St. W., Toronto, thelockhart.ca

Ask any Harry Potter fan in the city and odds are, they’ve been to The Lockhart. For those who are not diehard fans, this Harry Potter themed bar serves up delicious brunch. Try their Chicken and Waffles and wash it down with a Butter Beer.  Or try any of their cocktails crafted with house-infused liquor and syrups.
